About this nanny job

We are looking for an experienced, dependable and proactive nanny to help care for our three children: two 6-year-olds and a 3-year-old. We are a busy, active family and want someone who genuinely enjoys children, can confidently manage multiple kids, and will become a consistent and trusted presence in their lives. Responsibilities include helping the children get ready for school, school drop-off and pickup as needed, driving to activities, preparing simple meals and snacks, playing and engaging with the children, and helping with their daily routines. We want someone who enjoys being active with the kids — playing outside, swimming, reading, doing projects, going to parks and activities — rather than simply supervising them. We especially value someone who is proactive and organized. With three children, we appreciate a nanny who notices what needs to be done and takes initiative without needing constant direction. Child-related responsibilities include keeping bedrooms and play areas organized, cleaning up after meals and activities, washing/folding/putting away the children’s laundry, organizing backpacks and activity items, and helping prepare for the next day. We have separate household help, so this is not a housekeeping position. General house cleaning and the parents’ laundry are not expected. A safe, confident driver with a clean driving record is important, as driving the children to school and activities is a regular part of the role. Reliability, good judgment, patience, warmth and clear communication are also very important to us. Both parents have busy professional schedules, so we appreciate some flexibility when occasionally needed, while we try to communicate schedules and changes in advance. We are hoping to find someone interested in a long-term position who will build a close, caring relationship with our children and help keep their busy routines running smoothly.
