Mother’s Helper / Afternoon Family Assistant — Weekdays in NOPA My name is Anne-Paul and I am French Canadian. My husband and I have 2 wonderful boys: an energetic 2 year old toddler and a 3 month old baby. We’re looking for a warm, reliable, and energetic mother’s helper / afternoon family assistant to join our family on weekday afternoons, Monday–Friday, from 3:30–6:00 PM. We are looking for someone who can be an extra pair of hands during the busy late-afternoon stretch. A parent will be home during the entire shift, so this is not a traditional nanny role where you’ll be solely responsible for both children. What the afternoons might look like: * Playing with and entertaining the kids while we prepare dinner * Taking the kids to the park or for a walk * Reading books, doing crafts, or playing outside * Helping with the transition from afternoon activities into dinner * Helping with light kid-related tidying (putting toys away, cleaning up after activities, etc.) * Occasionally helping with simple tasks around the house while I’m focused on one of the children We’re looking for someone who is engaging, patient, proactive, and genuinely enjoys spending time with young children. The ideal person is comfortable jumping in wherever an extra set of hands is helpful and can take initiative rather than waiting to be directed. This could be a great fit for someone looking for a consistent part-time afternoon position, including a college student, early-career childcare professional, or someone who loves working with children but prefers a role where a parent is present.
