Part Time Family Assistant / After School Driver We are looking for a reliable, organized and warm family assistant to help with our two school aged children Monday through Thursday. Schedule: Monday & Wednesday: approximately 5:30 to 7:30/8:00 PM Tuesday & Thursday: approximately 3:00 to 7:00 PM The role is primarily after school transportation combined with light family assistance. You would generally only be responsible for one child at a time. Monday & Wednesday: Pick up one child from school in Berkeley and drive home to Orinda. Once home, help with light household tasks such as preparing and packing the kids’ lunches for the following day, kids’ laundry and tidying up. Tuesday & Thursday: Pick up our son from school in Berkeley and drive him to soccer practice in Orinda. Pick up our daughter and take her to swim practice in the Lamorinda area. Pick up each child after practice and bring them home. During practice time, help with kids’ laundry, preparing lunches for the following day and light tidying as time allows. There is no need for childcare or supervision once the children are home. We are looking for someone dependable, organized and a safe and confident driver. A reliable car and clean driving record are required. $30/hour plus mileage reimbursement while transporting the children. Approximately 12 to 13 hours per week + occasional evenings where we need to stay late at work or have date night.
