About this nanny job

We're looking for a warm, reliable after-school tutor/caregiver for our two children, ages 7 and 10, in Jackson Heights. Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 2:45–6:00 PM during the school year (some flexibility possible). The kids take the school bus home, so no school pickup is required. We need someone to be at our apartment before they arrive and stay with them until we get home. Responsibilities include: • Being home when the kids arrive from school • Snack and downtime • Homework help and reading • Light tutoring/academic enrichment • Playing, crafts, or outdoor activities • Keeping the kids engaged and supervised We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys elementary-aged kids and can build a relationship with both children. A college student, teacher/teaching assistant, graduate student, or experienced caregiver with strong academic skills would be great. Ideal candidate: warm, dependable, patient, energetic, and comfortable helping with elementary-school math, reading, and writing.
