After School Helper Wanted (September – December) We're looking for a warm, reliable person to help our family come together for dinner at the end of the day. This isn't traditional babysitting — think more "household teammate" than "sitter." Here's what the role looks like day to day: 🍳 Dinner duty: We leave a simple recipe and a fully stocked fridge. We'd love for you to prepare dinner (we always pick easy, low-stress meals) and give the dishwasher a load afterward. If you enjoy being in the kitchen, this is the best part of the job — and we're happy to walk you through the kitchen for the first few visits so you feel at home. 🐾 Doodle o'clock: Our golden doodle eats at 5pm and loves his walk right after. He occasionally spends the day at a nearby doggie daycare, and on those days we may ask you to pick him up on your way in. 🧑 Light presence for our teen: Our 14-year-old is home by 5:30pm (he walks himself home from sports and clubs — very independent!). He doesn't need supervision, honestly, but we like knowing a caring adult is around until we get home from work. Mostly this just means being available if he needs anything. (We also have a 17-year-old, but he keeps his own schedule and won't need anything from you.) 📅 Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 4:30–7:30pm — we're flexible on exact timing if needed. 📍 Location: We're in Boerum Hill, close to Downtown Brooklyn and most subway lines.
