About this nanny job

Mom, Brieanna, works night shifts at the hospital, while Dad, Jorden, works daytime hours at USA Parkway. We are looking for reliable in-home childcare during Dad’s workday while Mom is sleeping after her night shift. Our 3-year-old, Lucille, attends daycare at UNR on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 AM–2:30 PM. We also have a younger child who will be home during the day. We are looking for childcare in our home from approximately 7:00 AM–5:30 PM. Occasionally, extended hours may be needed if there is an unexpected delay, such as a freeway accident, that impacts Dad’s drive home. Mom typically wakes up around 12:00 PM. From 12:00–1:00 PM, she will get ready and leave to pick up Lucille from daycare. From 1:00–3:00 PM, the caregiver will be completely off-duty and free to take a full 2-hour break. Mom will be home with the children during this time. At 3:00 PM, Mom will begin getting ready for work and will need to leave around 4:00 PM. Childcare will resume at 3:00 PM and continue until Dad arrives home, typically around 5:30 PM, with the possibility of extended hours if there are significant delays on the drive home. The job will include preparing balanced meals and snacks for the children using food that we provide, as well as keeping the children engaged with age-appropriate educational activities, play, and learning throughout the day. Food will be provided for the caregiver as well, and there will be an opportunity to prepare and cook your own meals while here. We are looking for someone dependable, attentive, patient, and comfortable caring for young children in our home.
