Experienced Nanny / Family Assistant for 6-Year-Old — Tribeca, NYC We are a warm mother-and-daughter household with a lazy French bulldog in Tribeca looking for a trustworthy, caring, and experienced nanny/family assistant for my 6-year-old daughter. I am hoping to find someone who will become a consistent, long-term presence in our home and genuinely enjoys caring for a school-age child. Our ideal candidate is mature, warm, patient, dependable, organized, and nurturing, with excellent judgment and strong experience caring for children. We would especially love someone who has worked long-term with previous families and can provide excellent references. Schedule: Approximately 30–35 hours per week, with a generally consistent weekday schedule beginning around 1 or 2 PM and ending around 7 PM, Monday–Friday. Our daughter's school bus pickup is at about 350-4pm, so the earlier afternoon hours would be used for light household upkeep, organization, laundry and food preparation before pickup. Some flexibility for occasional later evenings during the week and weekend hours would be greatly appreciated. We would arrange these in advance whenever possible. Responsibilities include: Caring for our 6-year-old daughter School pickup and accompanying her to activities and playdates Preparing simple, healthy meals and snacks Helping keep her room, clothing, toys and belongings organized Children's laundry and general tidying Light household upkeep while our daughter is at school or occupied Kitchen tidying, dishwasher and general household organization Simple food preparation Occasionally helping take trash or recycling outside On the rare occasion when needed, taking our French bulldog for a short walk around the block We have separate help for deep cleaning, so this is not a heavy housekeeping position. We are looking for someone who is naturally tidy and comfortable helping maintain an organized home as part of the day. Our ideal candidate: Experienced with school-age children Mature, responsible and emotionally warm Extremely trustworthy and reliable Calm and patient, but comfortable setting appropriate boundaries Proactive and organized Comfortable navigating NYC with a child Looking for a stable, long-term relationship with a family Excellent references from previous families Legally authorized to work in the U.S. Flexible for occasional evenings and weekends Language: English is necessary; fluency in Farsi, Portuguese, Spanish or French is wonderful
