About this nanny job

We are looking for a loving, dependable, and engaging nanny to care for our 1-year-old twin boys in our Norfolk home Monday through Friday, with a potential start date of September 29. Our boys are active, happy, and on a fairly consistent routine. A typical day includes breakfast, playtime or an age-appropriate activity, a little Gracie’s Corner, nap time, a walk or another activity, lunch, and some quiet/rest time before Mom or Dad gets home. We would love someone who will genuinely engage with them through reading, play, walks, music, and developmentally appropriate activities rather than simply supervising them. Responsibilities will primarily be child-related and include diaper changes, preparing/serving their meals and snacks, maintaining their nap and meal routines, cleaning up after meals and activities, and keeping their play areas tidy. We also have a dog who will need to be let outside during the day, so applicants must be comfortable with dogs. CPR and First Aid certification is required. We are looking for someone with toddler childcare experience who is patient, attentive, trustworthy, reliable, and comfortable managing two toddlers at the same time. Experience with twins or multiples is a plus but not required. We are looking for someone who will become a consistent and trusted part of our family's routine. Reliability and communication are extremely important to us. We would prefer someone interested in a long-term position who can commit to a consistent Monday through Friday schedule. Final candidates should be comfortable providing references and completing a background check.
