CAPABLE EXTRA SET OF HANDS: KIDS + HOUSEHOLD SUPPORT Warm, busy SF family looking for a smart, capable, proactive person to help with our three kids (girls 4 and 9, boy 6) and keep our household running smoothly. We need extra support over the coming month while we wait for our next au pair. After that, hours will likely decrease, but we’d love to keep the right person for occasional sitting or regular, guaranteed hours if desired. We can be flexible for the right fit. THE ROLE • Mom works from home part-time and is actively involved, so this is often a mother’s-helper / tag-team role • Usually 1–2 kids; occasionally all 3 • Primarily after school through bedtime: activities, play, reading, outdoor time, dinner, baths, bedtime and cleanup • The role varies: Mom cooks while you handle baths; Mom does bedtime while you reset the kitchen; or Mom takes one child to an activity while you run the evening routine with the other 1–2 kids • Household support: dishes, kids’ laundry, tidying, organizing and resetting • Some weekend flexibility, especially Saturdays for activity logistics when a parent is traveling and Sundays for workweek prep • Potential to grow into more independent childcare or household-assistant responsibilities THIS COULD BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU… • Are smart, capable, organized and proactive • Notice what needs doing without being asked and follow through • Enjoy organizing, maintaining systems and making a household run better • Have strong attention to detail and take pride in doing things well • Are warm, kind, calm and genuinely enjoy kids • Have good judgment and communicate well We especially value someone who leaves the kitchen and family areas fully tidied, organized and ready for the next day. Experience with multiple children is a plus, but we care more about capability, initiative, judgment and follow-through than a perfect childcare résumé.
