Role: Afternoon & Evening Family Assistant / Babysitter Location: Westport, CT Core Schedule: 4 Days/Week (Mon–Thu), 2:30 PM – 7:30 PM (20 hours/week guaranteed) Bonus / Extra Hours: Occasional weekend and date-night sitting opportunities available (optional) Pay: $28 – $35/hour (commensurate with experience) Start Date: Immediate / Early Fall (Seeking long-term stability) Overview: We are seeking a dependable, engaging, and organized afternoon/evening family assistant to provide steady, hands-on support for our family 4 days a week from 2:30 PM to 7:30 PM. This role bridges afternoon school pickup through the evening dinner and wind-down routine. We are looking for someone interested in an ongoing, stable position. Key Responsibilities: • School Pickup: Handle daily afternoon school pickup and bring the kids home safely. (A dedicated family vehicle, equipped with all required car seats, is provided for all driving during working hours). • Afternoon Routine & Homework: Prepare afternoon snacks, guide homework time, and initiate playtime, sports, or games to keep 2–4 kids engaged. • Dinner & Evening Support: Assist with simple kid dinner prep/serving, post-dinner cleanup, and helping transition the kids toward bedtime routine. • Gear & Space Reset: Help unpack backpacks/lunchboxes, organize sports gear, and keep common play areas tidy before wrapping up at 7:30 PM. Qualifications & Requirements: • Valid U.S. driver's license with a spotless driving record (comfortable operating a family vehicle/SUV/van). • Reliable personal transportation to get to and from our home in Westport. • Extensive experience caring for multiple elementary/middle school-aged children. • Strong references verifying reliability, warmth, and proactive organization. • Willingness to complete standard background and motor vehicle report (MVR) checks.
