About this nanny job

I’m looking for a dependable, caring babysitter/nanny for my school-age son. I work as an EMT and am currently attending paramedic school, so consistency and reliability are very important to me. The regular schedule is Tuesday–Thursday, 4 PM–12 AM. My son attends after-school care and would need to be picked up at 4 PM. Starting in October, he will also be participating in sports, so I’m looking for someone who can provide reliable transportation to practices, help him complete homework before activities, prepare simple meals/snacks, and maintain his evening routine. I’m also open to occasional Saturday or evening care for special occasions, but Saturdays would not be part of the regular weekly schedule. I’m interested in someone who is patient, nurturing, responsible, and comfortable creating structure for a child. CPR/First Aid certification, childcare experience, references, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record are preferred. A background check will be required. Pay range: $12–$16/hour depending on experience and qualifications. I’m hoping to find someone interested in a long-term arrangement rather than occasional babysitting. I’m also open to a nanny-share/babysitting-share arrangement with another family if the children are a good fit. I actually like the idea of my son having another child around to play with and socialize while being cared for. I’m looking for someone who can become a consistent and trusted part of my son’s routine.
