About this nanny job

We are looking for a warm, dependable, responsible, and experienced part-time sitter/nanny to help care for our three children, ages 6, 4, and 2. Schedule: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays Exact hours may vary depending on our school and work schedules, but we are looking for someone who can consistently commit to these days. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and is comfortable taking responsibility for their daily routine while a parent is working or attending school. Responsibilities will include: • Caring for and supervising our three children • Occasionally dropping off and/or picking up the children from school • Helping make sure homework and school responsibilities are completed • Serving meals and snacks that will already be prepared by us • Making sure the children eat their meals and stay on schedule • Reading, playing, and engaging in age-appropriate activities with them • Staying with and caring for the children while I work or attend school • Helping with their normal after-school/evening routine as needed • Taking the children to their swimming class on Saturdays • Caring for the children for a few hours on Saturdays after or around their activities • Keeping the children's immediate eating and play areas tidy Because transportation is part of the position, we need someone who is a safe and responsible driver with a valid driver's license and clean driving record. Reliable transportation is important. What We Are Looking For We would love to find someone who is: • Dependable and punctual • Patient, nurturing, and attentive • Experienced caring for multiple young children • Comfortable managing children of different ages at the same time • A safe and confident driver • Organized and able to follow an established family routine • Communicative and responsive • Willing to commit to a consistent schedule • Able to provide strong childcare references • CPR/First Aid certified or willing to become certified • Comfortable completing a background check We are not looking for someone to cook full meals or perform extensive household cleaning. Meals will generally be prepared in advance. Our priority is finding someone who will keep the children safe, cared for, engaged, fed, and on schedule. We are hoping to find someone who can become a trusted and consistent part of our family's routine rather than simply an occasional babysitter.
