About this nanny job

We are seeking an engaging, warm, and reliable nanny for our two-year old daughter. We prioritize a child-centered, safe, and interactive environment where Spanish immersion, imaginative and experiential play, developmental milestones, and consistent daily routines are supported. Key Responsibilities: 1. Spanish language Immersion: Speak, read, sing, play, and interact 100% in Spanish with our daughter throughout caregiving hours. 2. Toddler Engagement & Development: Lead experiential, imaginative, and developmentally-appropriate activities, including reading books, singing songs, art-based projects and imaginative play, local outings, park walks, and playground visits. 3. Basic Daily Routines: Adhere to established sleep/nap schedules and prep child food, following family food allergy protocols (dairy-, egg-, and garlic-free). 4. Light Childcare Household Tasks: wash and store cookware, maintain tidy play/food/child areas, nursery storage, and dish cupboards, fold and store baby laundry, and other small child-based projects as needed. Requirements & Qualifications: ● Professional Disposition & Approach: Positive, child-centered caregiver who prioritizes education, early milestone development, and experiential learning, with a proactive and collaborative attitude. ● Experience: Past experience caring for infants or toddlers (open to entry-level nannies, early childhood education students, or experienced babysitters). Strong references required. ● Language: Spanish speaker required. ● Reliability: Strong work ethic, exceptional punctuality, and clear, proactive daily communication with parents. ● Certifications & Safety: Up-to-date Infant/Child CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to complete certification) and up-to-date on all major vaccinations. Must pass a background check. Compensation & Benefits: ● Pay: $20.00- $25.00 per hour (commensurate with experience) plus paid public transportation to and from work shifts ● Benefits: 5 paid sick/personal days per year, and paid time when our family travels during regular weekday shifts.
