Looking for a warm, reliable, engaging respite caregiver for our wonderful 10-year-old daughter. She is neurodivergent, creative, funny, curious, and thrives with caregivers who are patient, playful, flexible, and comfortable meeting kids where they are. We are looking for approximately 35–45 hours per month. The schedule will vary from week to week, so this is a great fit for someone who enjoys flexible, part-time work rather than a fixed weekly schedule. Hours could include afternoons, evenings, occasional weekends, outings, and some transportation to activities. A reliable car, valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and comfort driving a child are required. Experience with neurodivergent children is strongly preferred. This could include autism, ADHD, sensory differences, executive functioning needs, or similar experience. We especially value someone who understands regulation, respects autonomy, communicates calmly, and builds connection rather than relying on punitive behavior management. Our ideal person is dependable, energetic, kind, responsible, and genuinely enjoys spending time with kids. Activities might include crafts, games, outings, imaginative play, helping with routines, accompanying her to activities, or simply hanging out and giving her a fun, safe afternoon. We are hoping to find someone who could become a trusted, consistent part of our family’s support team. We are starting by meeting people and seeing who feels like the right fit.
