About this nanny job

Part time, early morning nanny needed starting in November for my son who will be 17 months. He is bright, social, and engaged with his caregivers. He currently enjoys playing with his cars and trucks, books, and music. He has some uncertainty around unfamiliar people but warms up once he realizes you are a friendly face. Position *Start date November 2 * Monday-Friday 5am to 9am * 20 guaranteed hours/week * I can add Saturday morning as well if you would like 25 guaranteed weekly hours. * 14 days of PTO (combined vacation and sick days) every 12 months * 8 paid federal holidays of your choice OR 6 paid federal holidays with 2 days to be used the day before or after a holiday * Payment as a W-2 household employee. * 12 month (with possibility to extend) position with a contract Responsibilities * Provide attentive, engaging, and safe care to my son * Preparing and serving him breakfast and cleaning up afterwards * Diapering and clothing changes as needed * Preparing foods and milk/formula for daycare * Keeping the play areas tidy * Folding baby’s laundry as needed while waiting for him to wake * Light dog-related care (letting the dogs outside and back inside; interacting with dogs to close them out of the eating area) Requirements * Reliable and punctual * Warm, fun, attentive, and intuitive to baby’s needs * At least two years of experience * CPR and first-aid certified * Non-smoker * Vaccinated * English fluency * Willing to provide references * Comfort working while parent is home * Comfortable around dogs * Familiarity with developmental delays and early intervention preferred but not required More about my family I am a solo mom. In addition to my young son, I also have a high school age daughter. I will be home while you are at my house but out of the way. Early in the morning I will be asleep. I have some chronic health issues that arose from cancer treatment several years ago, and sleep is essential to maintaining my health. My son sometimes wakes as early as 5, but it is usually around 6-6:30. My son has some developmental delays affecting his gross motor and feeding. He receives services in physical therapy and feeding therapy through early intervention. I have two medium size dogs who are very friendly and very excited. They bark and sometimes jump. Candidate must be comfortable around dogs and ideally also enjoy their company. Light care of the dogs will be needed. I also have a friendly cat who stays indoors.
