Family needs a caretaker starting Wednesday, Oct 7

About this nanny job

I am going through chemo and need some help around the house caring for my 3 kids and a dog. My husband will be working from home at least every other week for now. I will be in the home too, but I mostly stay in the bedroom. Our kids do independent study, so they will be home during the scheduled times. We do try to go to the park with friends most Fridays, so we would love someone who can join us with that. The 10 year old and 6 year old enjoy playing outside in our large backyard. They also like building with legos. The 6 year old is very much into art and dramatic play. Someone who can come up with activities for them to do or join in their play would be great. The 12 year old and 6 year old will take time to warm up and be comfortable with someone. Some help with light cleaning around the house would also be appreciated. Helping organize the 6 year old’s toys would be a huge bonus. The kids do play independently a lot. The older two often have voice calls with their friends while playing online games. We need someone who is friendly and willing to give kids space to get comfortable with another adult in the home. It’s my hope that having some extra help will give me time to rest and allow my husband to go to the office. We have a very friendly and energetic dog who loves pets and being a part of the fun. Someone who can help let her in and out of the house (which include wiping her paws during rainy days), make sure she has food and water, and is willing to give her some attention as needed would be nice. Our dog does enjoy lounging with me during the day and shouldn’t need a lot of extra care. I plan to use a payroll service. We would ideally like someone through the end of the year, with the possibility of continuing after that. The times are a little flexible, but Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons are the needed days.
