Hiring a part time caretaker starting Monday, Oct 12 - $23/hr

We’re looking for someone warm, upbeat, dependable, and genuinely engaging to spend time with our preschool-aged son. We’re hoping to find someone who can become a consistent part of his routine for at least the next couple of years, rather than someone looking for something short-term. 💰 Pay & Benefits • Approximately $23.50/hour, paid through the state • PTO is accrued through the state program • You would need to be willing and able to complete the state registration/onboarding process • Additional hours may occasionally be available on weekends if you’d like to pick them up. 🗓️ Schedule • Mondays: approximately 9 AM–2 PM • Other weekdays: approximately 11 AM–2 PM • No-school days/breaks: generally around 9 AM–2 PM • We’re looking for someone who can reliably commit to this schedule long-term 💛 About our little guy He is preschool-aged and has some developmental delays. He attends developmental preschool part of the week, so experience working with children with developmental delays or other special needs is strongly preferred. He has basically his own little preschool setup at home — toys, books, activities, learning materials, sensory/play options, etc. We provide everything you could need! What we really need is someone who genuinely enjoys playing, talking, reading, doing activities, and engaging with him. We’re specifically looking for someone who is: • Warm, patient, fun, and upbeat • Comfortable and experienced with children with additional needs • Actively engaged rather than relying on screens/electronics to occupy him • Dependable and interested in building a relationship with him over time • Comfortable helping with his normal routines and activities 🚗 Transportation is required On preschool days, you would need to pick him up from Fife ELC and bring him home. Because of where our home is located, reliable access to your own vehicle is a non-negotiable requirement for this position. Unfortunately, public transportation is not a workable option for getting to/from our home or handling preschool pickup. We live in Fife, WA.
