Looking for a caring nanny / mentor / coach for four great kids I’m a single dad raising four kids, ages 6, 8, 8, and 9, and I’m looking for another kind, capable adult to become part of our team. This is more than just babysitting. My goal is to raise four civilized, considerate, confident and capable humans, and I’d love to find someone who genuinely enjoys helping kids grow. I’m particularly looking for someone who is good with emotional regulation, behavior, frustration tolerance and social skills. One of my daughters can have a particularly hard time managing big emotions, and I’d love someone who can connect with her, earn her trust, and help her develop better tools for handling frustration, conflict and difficult feelings. Experience in child development, psychology, behavioral support, special education, coaching, or similar work would be a big plus. Beyond that, I’m open to whatever strengths you bring. If you can teach or encourage physical skills, sports, art, music, reading, language, cooking, organization, independence, or just how to be a thoughtful and capable person, that’s valuable to me. I’m not looking for someone to simply keep the kids occupied or put them in front of screens. I’d like someone warm and playful who can also provide structure, hold reasonable boundaries, encourage independence, and be a positive adult influence. You don’t need to be perfect or have every qualification listed above. The most important things are that you’re kind, responsible, patient, emotionally steady, comfortable managing four kids, and genuinely interested in helping children develop. If you have experience working with kids who have big emotions or behavioral challenges, please tell me a little about your approach and what you’ve found works well.
