We’re new parents expecting our baby girl in mid-October! 💕 We’re looking for someone experienced with newborns who can occasionally be an extra set of hands as we settle into new parent life. We’re still figuring out what works best for us, so this may be an occasional overnight or 4–5 hours of help in the morning. We’re flexible with days since Dad will be on paternity leave. Our biggest goal is giving Mom a chance to rest and recover while knowing baby is in good hands. Brie has actually been a sitter on UrbanSitter for many years, so it’s funny to now be on the other side looking for care! Help would mainly include newborn care such as feeding, diaper changes, soothing and settling baby, along with washing/sterilizing bottles, pump parts and other baby items. Occasionally we may ask for help transferring baby laundry from the washer to dryer or dryer to a basket, refilling Mom’s water bottle, or taking out trash/recycling. No folding, heavy cleaning, cooking, grocery shopping, errands or driving! We’d love someone who communicates well and is comfortable working as a team. We’re first-time parents and are totally open to learning tips and tricks from someone with newborn experience, while also wanting someone who respects how we choose to care for our baby. Brie is very independent and loves doing things herself, but she knows this is probably the time to accept some help and get some sleep 😂 We’re a very inclusive, welcoming and open-minded family and are looking for someone kind, respectful, caring and nonjudgmental. Because baby will be brand new during cold and flu season, being up-to-date on vaccinations, including the seasonal flu vaccine, is important to us. We also ask for open communication if you’re feeling sick or have recently been exposed to illness. We have a friendly dog in the home, so please be comfortable around dogs. 🐶 Parking is available. We’re happy to pay through Zelle or Venmo. We’re not looking for a set weekly schedule right away. We’d love to find someone we trust who we can reach out to for occasional mornings, overnights or extra help when needed.
