We are looking for a dependable, energetic, and proactive after-school nanny/family assistant for our two school-age boys. Our boys are very active and sports-oriented, so we are looking for someone who can create a fun, positive environment while also providing the structure needed to keep afternoons organized and on schedule. Our goal is for homework, snacks/meals, and sports preparation to be completed so they are fully ready to head out when we get home. Schedule: Monday: approximately 2:00–5:45 PM due to weekly early release Tuesday–Friday: approximately 3:00–5:45 PM Approximately 14–20 hours per week We are open to an earlier start time on some or all days for someone who would like additional hours for laundry, light housekeeping, and meal/snack prep before school pickup. Responsibilities include: • School pickup; school is approximately 7 miles from our home • Homework help and keeping the boys on track • Creating a fun, upbeat after-school environment • Snacks and light meal prep • Getting the boys dressed, packed, and ready for sports by the time we get home • Family laundry, including washing, folding, and putting away • Light housekeeping such as tidying, dishes, wiping down the kitchen, and general straightening • Helping keep bedrooms, backpacks, and sports gear organized It is not required, but it would be helpful if this person could occasionally provide additional coverage on school half-days, when the boys are released around noon, or on occasional non-holiday days off from school. We would also love someone open to occasional evening or weekend babysitting for date nights. My husband works from home 1–2 days per week and may be in his upstairs office during part of the shift, but he will generally be working and not involved in the afternoon routine. We are looking for someone who is warm and engaging with kids but also confident setting expectations and maintaining a routine. Reliable transportation and a clean driving record are required.
