Reliable Nanny Needed in Lorton, VA I’m looking for a warm, patient, dependable nanny to care for my 15-month-old daughter. She is an active, curious toddler who loves exploring, playing, and learning. I would love to find someone who enjoys this age and will help her feel safe, loved, and supported while I work. I’m seeking weekday care. I work in the office three days a week and may be home working on other days. We can discuss the exact hours, start date, and compensation together. Consistency and punctuality are important, and I hope to find someone interested in building a lasting relationship with our family. Your main responsibility will be providing attentive care. This includes preparing and serving her meals and snacks, helping with milk and water, changing diapers, and following her nap routine. I would appreciate someone who can gently encourage healthy habits, independence, and age-appropriate development without rushing her. I want her days to include a balance of play, reading, music, outdoor time when weather allows, and quiet activities. Ideas might include stacking toys, drawing with crayons, simple pretend play, and activities that encourage language and movement. I’m looking for someone who will engage with her, talk to her, and follow her interests rather than rely on television or a phone to keep her occupied. Light tasks related to her care would include washing her dishes and cups, tidying toys and play areas, and keeping her belongings organized. Her care and safety should always come first. We can discuss any additional child-related responsibilities before agreeing on the role. The ideal candidate has experience caring for toddlers, understands their changing needs, and is comfortable responding calmly to crying, frustration, and transitions. A gentle, respectful approach is very important to me. I want someone who offers comfort, sets appropriate boundaries, and never uses physical punishment or harsh discipline. Infant and child CPR/first-aid certification, strong references, and willingness to complete a background check are preferred. Please be comfortable communicating openly about her meals, naps, mood, and daily activities, and letting me know promptly about any concerns.
