Family needs a full time caretaker starting Thursday, Nov 19 in Mission - $35/hr

We're a Mission District family looking for a nanny this winter to care for our newborn through the day, and help get our preschooler ready in the mornings. One parent works in a downtown office and the other works from home. Our home is located a 10min walk from BART and a 5-10min walk from MUNI including the 14, 49, and J lines. We are a smoke free and pet free household. This is a defined-term role starting Nov. 19th and running 12 to 14 weeks. It's a great fit if you're between long-term families or your current charge is starting daycare, and you want steady, well-paid work with a clear end date. We're looking for one person to see it through the full period. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (40 hours/week) Hours are guaranteed - you're paid for your scheduled hours even if we cancel or travel. What you'll do: - Full care of our newborn: bottle feeding, diapering, naps and soothing, age-appropriate play, stroller walks, etc. - Keep us in the loop with a quick log of feeds and naps. - Keep the children’s things in order: washing bottles and tidying play areas. - Help our preschooler stay on task when getting ready in the morning. A parent will make his breakfast, pack his lunch/backpack, and drive him to school at 8:30am. What we're looking for: - Hands-on experience caring for babies in the 3 to 6 month range. - Conversational level of English. - Up-to-date vaccinations, including Tdap, flu, and COVID. - References from 2-3 families you've cared for and willingness to complete a background check. Pay and benefits: - $35/hour, W-2 through a payroll service. - Completion bonus of $1,000 at end of 12-week contract. - Holidays: Nov. [removed] - PTO/sick time accrued at 2hr per week
