Family looking for a part time caretaker starting Monday, Oct 19 in Glenview

About this nanny job

We are a friendly, active family with two girls: an energetic, creative 5 year old and a happy, curious 6 month old. Both are in school/daycare on weekdays. We are looking for a warm, dependable person who can help us with before and after school care, including driving and light housework. English-Spanish speaking preferred because the daycare is Spanish-immersion and we want to encourage our 5 year old to continue developing her Spanish language skills. This is an ongoing role, so we are hoping for someone who wants a long-term job. SCHEDULE: 7.5-12 hours/week - Required Availability: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 6:00 AM - 8:30 AM - Optional/Negotiable Hours: Monday, Wednesday OR Tuesday, Thursday 4:30-6:30 PM - Extra hours available when parents traveling - Occasional weekend help available too - Would begin with paid trial shifts WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING - Get the girls up and ready for school/daycare - Feed breakfast - Pack bottles and lunch - Drive to drop off at daycare and TK - Wipe up table, high chair and kitchen counters - Empty or load dishwasher - Additional tasks to be determined depending on afternoon hours YOU MIGHT BE OUR PERSON IF YOU - Are warm, energetic, creative, dependable, proactive and organized - Have toddler experience - Are a safe driver with your own car, clean record and current drivers license - Have CPR/First Aid certification - Can provide strong references and a background check
