Part Time nanny needed starting Tuesday, Oct 20 (flexible) in Terra Linda - $35/hr

About this nanny job

We’re looking for a reliable, warm babysitter to help with our daughter on the weekdays that I commute into the city — typically Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. We share custody 50/50 with her other parent, so the exact days we need help will vary a little from week to week depending on the co-parenting schedule. We should usually be able to give plenty of advance notice. On the days she’s with us, we’d need help with: * Picking her up from our home in the Terra Linda neighborhood of San Rafael in the morning and driving her to daycare in downtown San Rafael. The earliest daycare drop-off is 8:00 a.m. * Picking her up from daycare around 5:00 p.m. and bringing her home to Terra Linda. * Hanging out with her for a bit and helping get things started for dinner until either my partner or I get home. Because the job involves daycare transportation, having your own reliable car, a clean driving record, and being comfortable driving with a child are important. Our daughter is bilingual in English and Spanish, so Spanish-speaking is a nice plus, although definitely not a requirement. The weekday schedule is the main thing we’re looking for, but we’d also love to find someone who might occasionally be available for a weekend afternoon or evening. Most importantly, we’re hoping to find someone dependable, kind, and comfortable with a schedule that changes a bit from week to week. There may also be an opportunity for additional hours with my daughter’s mom on some of the days she’s with her. We coordinate closely as co-parents, so if it’s a good fit, there could be a chance to build a more consistent schedule across both households.
