About this nanny job

We're a friendly family near Union Square looking for an experienced, reliable nanny for our baby girl (5 months) who can also help around the house. Mom works from home and is around during the day. Schedule: Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm. Start in October, flexible. Occasional weekend or evening help is a plus. Pay: $25-30/hr depending on experience. Location: near Union Square (4/5/6/L/N/Q/R/W). Baby care: feeding, washing and sterilizing bottles, making baby food (purees now, with new solids as she's ready), diapers, naps, baths, age-appropriate play, reading and walks. We log the day in a simple app. Around the house: dishes and kitchen cleanup, light cleaning and tidying only, baby and family laundry, and simple healthy meals for the parents. Baby care always comes first, and the amount of housework varies by day. Requirements: - 3+ years of professional childcare, including 2+ years with babies under 12 months - Infant CPR certification (required) - 2+ recent references, ideally from families with infants, and willingness to complete a background check - Fluent English - Legally authorized to work in the US - Non-smoker - Up-to-date Tdap and flu vaccinations - Comfortable following our hygiene and food-safety routines (bottle sterilizing, handwashing) - Dependable and proactive: punctual, and notices what the baby needs - Comfortable with video cameras in common areas A plus: Korean speaker (we'd love Korean songs and books for her).
