We’re looking for a warm, experienced part-time nanny for our sweet, imaginative 3.5-year-old son, Gabriel, in Auburn (near Auburn Riverside High School). Gabriel is affectionate, chatty, curious and playful. He loves books, storytelling, cars, imaginative play and exploring outside -- especially parks, puddles and rainy day adventures! We’re hoping to find someone who genuinely enjoys toddlers and preschoolers and has strong experience with this age group. Our ideal nanny is calm, observant, creative and playful. Someone who enjoys library trips, crafts, outdoor adventures and following a child’s interests, while also being comfortable with quieter, independent play. We’re especially interested in someone confident helping young children navigate boundaries, transitions and big feelings with warmth, patience and consistency. Schedule & Pay - 25–30 guaranteed hours/week - $23–28/hour, depending on experience - Long-term position (ideally 1.5+ years) - Shorter afternoons Monday–Tuesday or Monday–Wednesday, depending on preschool placement - Full days Thursday and Friday (possible Wednesday), with flexible start/end times Responsibilities & Requirements Child-related care only, including meals/snacks, his dishes and helping him tidy his play spaces. We encourage regular outings and can provide a family vehicle. Mom works from home full-time, and Dad is home two days a week. We’re available when needed but want someone comfortable independently managing Gabriel’s day. We keep care screen-free. Toddler/preschool experience, CPR/first aid, strong references, background check, nonsmoker and clean driving record required. We value open communication, mutual respect and a collaborative relationship with our nanny. We want someone who feels trusted to use their experience and judgment while also being comfortable sharing ideas, asking questions and learning what works best for Gabriel. We’re flexible, appreciate the important role a nanny plays in a child’s life, and hope to create a positive, supportive working relationship for everyone.
