Looking for a Fun, Active After-School Nanny in Pleasantville, NY! We’re a Dutch-American family of five who recently moved to Pleasantville, with three lovely kids aged 9, 7 and 4. We’re looking for a warm, reliable and energetic nanny for three afternoons a week (days are flexible). What we’re looking for: School pick-ups: our youngest at 1:50 PM, followed by the older two at 2:55 PM. Their schools are about 10 minutes apart. Afternoons filled with a nice balance of downtime, homework, outdoor play and driving the kids to activities when needed. Someone active who enjoys getting involved with the kids, but also knows when to let them relax and do their own thing. A confident driver who can use their own car or ours. Ideally, someone happy to prepare a simple dinner now and then (think pasta, nothing fancy!). An animal lover! We have a cat and will be welcoming a dog into our family in the near future. We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being around animals and is happy to take the dog for a short afternoon walk as part of the routine. I’m a veterinarian, so my finishing times can vary. Occasional flexibility beyond 6:30 PM is important, although we generally aim to have dinner by 6:30–7 PM. We’re happy to agree on guaranteed minimum hours and discuss an hourly rate or monthly arrangement. We’re looking for someone with excellent spoken English, a clean background check and a relaxed, sensible approach to childcare. We’re an outdoorsy family and prefer a natural, easygoing style over excessive worrying about every little thing! Occasional evenings or weekends are a bonus, but not essential.
