We're a Wayland family looking for an energetic college or grad student to spend weekday afternoons and early evenings with our two boys, especially our 10-year-old. Great fit for students in education, social work, psychology, or child development. Starting now. What it looks like Being a fun, steady buddy: outdoor play, soccer and football, bikes, building projects, games, cooking Helping with the family routines: snack, activities, getting out the door to extracurriculars Giving Mom real breaks to recharge; parents are accessible and sometimes around, and in charge of limits and discipline No teaching agenda initially; this is relationship and play, though over time there may be a homework routine you facilitate You Upbeat, patient, and good at following a kid's lead Experience with kids (camp, coaching, babysitting, classroom aide); interest in kids with big feelings or trauma histories a plus Reliable for a consistent weekly schedule; consistency really matters for our son Valid driver's license a plus Schedule and pay Several weekdays and Tuesday afternoons, about 10 to 15 hours a week. Flexible around your class schedule. Competitive hourly pay. Location Wayland, MA, a short drive from Regis College and Boston College.
