*PAYING ON THE BOOKS ONLY* Family based in Lower Manhattan (FiDi) is seeking an experienced, proactive, and warm caregiver to manage weekday household operations and provide dedicated early-childhood care. This is a true hybrid role: while the two older school-age children are in class, the assistant provides attentive, milestone-focused care and meals for a 22-month-old toddler. The remainder of the day is balanced with shared digital family calendar coordination, activity accompaniment and light household organization. We are looking for a dependable, tech-savvy co-pilot to ensure our household and children's schedules run with consistency and ease. Core Responsibilities 1. Toddler Care (Primary Daytime Focus) Lead an engaging, structured daily routine for a 22-month-old toddler (sensory play, language enrichment, books, local park/playground outings, and consistent nap schedules). Prepare fresh, nutritious, balanced daily meals and snacks tailored for the toddler (breakfast, lunch, and dinner prep). Maintain a tidy, reset kitchen post-prep. Support ongoing speech and early developmental milestones. 2. Multi-Residence Logistics & Seasonal Coverage Hudson County Residence Coverage: Transition operations seamlessly to work from the family’s Northern New Jersey residence (Hudson County) during long holiday weekends, specific summer windows, and multi-day school holiday breaks (e.g., Thanksgiving week, Christmas/Winter recess, and Spring/Easter break). 3. Family & Children’s Calendar Management Maintain and synchronize a shared digital family calendar (Google Calendar / Apple), aligning parents' personal holds with children's school routines, activities, and appointments. Track and manage reminders for pediatric check-ups, specialist visits, dentist appointments, haircuts, and school dress/theme days. Monitor seasonal registration windows for activities/classes and stage clothing, backpacks, and gear the evening prior. 4. School & Activity Support Provide walking escort coverage as needed for the older children (ages 4 and 5.5) to and from their neighborhood school (a short 5-to-8-minute walk).
