MOTHER'S HELPER (childcare + housekeeping + meal prep + driving) Hi! We're an Italian family looking for a mother's helper: someone who takes care of our two girls (3 and 4.5) and helps keep the household running. With a baby arriving in December, this is really help for the whole family, not just the kids. Flexible start date: as soon as we find the right person. SCHEDULE: Sunday to Friday, roughly 4-8 PM. We're flexible: some days can start later and run later into the evening, and we'll figure out the exact rhythm together. This can grow into a full-time role in 2027 if you're interested. WHAT THE ROLE INCLUDES: - Driving the girls: school pickup and taking them to their different activities in our family car, so a valid license, a clean driving record, and being comfortable driving in the city are a must. - Meal prep: helping get dinner ready for the family, and making dinner for the girls on nights we're out. - Housekeeping: dishwasher, laundry (washing, hanging and folding), and cleaning up the kitchen and dining room after dinner. - The girls' evenings: dinner, bath, and bedtime when my husband and I are out. Most nights we all have dinner together, so a big part of the evening is the household side. With the baby coming, the most helpful thing is often simply taking things off my plate. TRAVEL: we travel a lot, around the US and to Italy, where we have family and a home in the Dolomites. We'd love someone who's excited to come along on some of those trips. WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR: we've been lucky over the years with wonderful helpers, and they all had the same things in common. They brought calm, positive energy into the house, the girls adored them, and they never needed a task list: they saw what the evening needed and just did it. That's who we're hoping to find again. WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU: our past helpers grew with us. One went on to a full-time career at Bright Horizons, another joined us as a student and graduated into her career with two little fans cheering her on. We give real responsibility, honest feedback, and we're genuinely invested in your next step. RATE: $28-32/hour, with some flexibility for the right person. LANGUAGE: English is ideal. Spanish works well too, since we speak decent Spanish at home. Italian or Mandarin are a plus.
