A Little About Our Family 🌿 Hi! We’re a fun-loving, active family of four living in the Arden Arcade area of Sacramento. My husband, Walter, is a firefighter with Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, and I work for Eskaton, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping older adults live well. We have two wonderful boys, Warner (5) and Wyatt (2.5), along with two dogs and two cats who are very much part of our family! We’re looking for a kind, nurturing, and dependable part-time nanny to care for our youngest son, Wyatt. He’s a sweet, curious, adventurous little boy who loves spending time outdoors, riding his bike, exploring nature, reading books, and discovering the world around him. He’s also potty trained! Our Parenting Philosophy ❤️ We practice gentle, responsive parenting and believe in fostering secure attachments through connection, compassion, and respect. We value a Waldorf-inspired approach to childhood, emphasizing imaginative play, outdoor exploration, creativity, and allowing children to learn naturally through everyday experiences. We’re hoping to find someone who shares these values and genuinely enjoys engaging with young children. We’d much rather see Wyatt exploring the backyard, going on nature walks, creating something imaginative, or getting a little muddy than spending time in front of a screen! What We’re Looking For We’re seeking consistent part-time care, ideally 3–4 days per week for approximately 3–4 hours at a time. Our preferred availability is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings, with Thursday afternoons as another option. Because Walter works a rotating 24-hour firefighter schedule, our childcare needs vary somewhat throughout the month. However, we’re hoping to establish a regular schedule that provides consistency for both Wyatt and his caregiver. We’re looking for someone who is warm, patient, playful, reliable, comfortable with pets, and excited to become a familiar, trusted presence in Wyatt’s life. Most importantly, we’d love to find someone who feels like a natural extension of our family and who will nurture Wyatt’s curiosity, independence, and love for the world around him.
