Part-Time After-School Sitter – Manhattan | $30–35/hour | Regular Rotating Schedule I’m a father looking for a warm, responsible and reliable after-school sitter for my 8-year-old son. The job involves picking him up from school at 3 p.m., occasionally accompanying him to a nearby activity, and bringing him home and spending time with him until approximately 5:30–6 p.m. Schedule: We have a predictable, alternating two-week schedule, with two afternoons one week and three afternoons the next (five afternoons every two weeks). The schedule is established well in advance and repeats throughout the school year. I’m happy to guarantee payment for 15 hours every two weeks, even if I occasionally don’t need coverage on a particular Friday. I’m looking for someone who enjoys spending time with school-age children, is punctual and dependable, and is comfortable navigating Manhattan with a child. Prior childcare experience and excellent references are important. This would ideally be a long-term position, with the possibility of additional hours on school holidays, occasional evenings or other afternoons if mutually convenient.
