About this nanny job
I'm a dad in Berkeley looking for a warm, experienced, and dependable part-time nanny for my two children, ages 8 and 15. Schedule: Approximately 10 hours per week, primarily Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, with additional afternoons on alternating weeks. School pickups are generally between 2–3 PM, with care needed until I return from work around 5–6 PM. The schedule follows a predictable, rotating two-week pattern. Responsibilities: School pickups and transportation to activities After-school supervision, snacks, and occasional homework help Light meal preparation as needed Occasional overnight stays at our home, including multiple consecutive nights when I travel for work My 15-year-old is quite independent, so most of the hands-on childcare would be for my 8-year-old. We also have two friendly labradoodles. Ideal candidate: Warm, responsible, punctual, and highly reliable Experienced with school-age children Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation Excellent references and willingness to complete a background check Comfortable with dogs and occasional overnight care Interested in a consistent, long-term position Compensation: $30–$40/hour depending on experience, with overnight compensation arranged separately.
