About this nanny job
Hi! We're a family in Tarrytown, NY looking for a warm, reliable, and experienced nanny to care for our son, Jack, who will be 5 months old at the end of November. We're hoping to find someone who can help with two periods of childcare, though we're absolutely open to candidates who are available for just one! Our childcare needs: - November 30 – December 18, 2026: Approximately 4–5 days/week (our most immediate need!) - January 18 – end of May 2027: Approximately 4–5 days/week Hours: Generally Monday–Thursday, 8am–6pm, with potentially some Friday coverage. Some days may be shorter depending on my wife's graduate school schedule. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys caring for infants and can provide a safe, loving, and engaging environment as Jack grows. Responsibilities would include bottle feeding, diaper changes, supporting naps and routines, age-appropriate play and developmental activities, walks, and light baby-related tidying. Ideally, you'll have prior infant experience, strong references, and be infant CPR/first aid certified (or willing to become certified). Above all, we're hoping to find someone nurturing, dependable, communicative, and comfortable working closely with us as first-time parents. Compensation: We're anticipating $28–$32/hour, depending on experience. If you're interested and available for either or both periods, we'd love to hear from you and learn more about your experience!
