About this nanny job
We are looking for a loving school aide for an autistic 6 yo girl for 2 months from now until either winter break or end of Jan (end time flexible). Experience with aide work, autistic children, and/or schools a plus, but at the end of the day what we really need is just someone caring and patient who knows her and can help her feel safe and co-regulate with her through a tantrum. Kiddo is normally sweet and loves school, but started having a hard time because of family tragedy and a previous teacher being abusive (teacher is being removed). Now she just needs an adult to help her get through the day as she adjusts to the new teacher and environment. There may be a small amount of hitting, but if it happens more than a few times we will adjust the role.
