About this nanny job

This is a part-time position: Tuesday and Thursday, 8:00am to 5:00pm 18 guaranteed hours per week. The days are fixed and the same every week. We can discuss adding a third day (Friday) for the right fit. We're looking for someone who wants part-time work long-term, such as a student, someone with a second family on Mondays and Wednesdays, or someone who prefers a lighter schedule. We have one happy, easygoing toddler daughter. We would love a nanny who enjoys this age, encourages curiosity, plans activities, and gets outside. Your responsibilities: • Meals, naps, and diaper changes • Play, learning activities, and outdoor time • Outings with family provided car seat in caregivers vehicle • Keeping our daughter's play area, dishes, and laundry tidy Not part of the job: • General housekeeping, errands, cooking for adults, or pet care. We have two dogs and a cat, so you should be comfortable around animals, but you won't be responsible for them. We both work from home full-time. We each have our own office upstairs, and the play area, kitchen, and living and dining rooms downstairs are yours to run. We're usually in meetings all day and will stay out of your way. You'll have full autonomy over the daily routine, and we encourage regular outings. We don't track or micromanage you. That's why we do thorough screening up front. The only camera on our property is the doorbell camera at the front door. Transportation (please read): This role requires using your own vehicle for outings, as our family car is not available currently. Credit card will be provided for gas, admissions, child-related expenses. Compensation and benefits: • $33/hour, W-2 household employee on payroll • 18 guaranteed hours • Weekly direct deposit • 6 paid vacation days (2 work weeks), front-loaded at the start of employment • 3 paid sick days, front-loaded • Paid holidays • Backup care: we arrange and cover backup care if anyone in the household is sick, so you don’t have to scramble Requirements • Experience with toddlers and references we can contact • Infant/child CPR and first aid or willing to obtain • Reliable personal vehicle, valid license, clean driving record, and auto insurance • Comfortable with parents WFH and with pets • Wants part-time work long-term (we'll emphasize early on) Our screening • background check and motor vehicle record check • speak with references ^ completed before two-week paid trial.
