I graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a degree in Biology, B.S. but I was a transfer student from Foothill College in Los Altos, CA. Growing up, i played basketball, volleyball and swimming. I swam collegiately for 2 years. I have been babysitting for over 13 years and have had a wide range of experience. I have babysat children from the ages of 3 months until 12 years old and have taken on a variety of different tasks with families. I have helped with homework, bed time routines, mommy’s helper (including dishes, organizing, floor cleaning, etc), and so much more. Through the years my concentration has been in three main areas: skills development, leadership training and character building. I am trained CPR/First Aid certified from my time as a Swim Instructor at the JCC. In my free time I enjoy crafting, cooking, yoga, writing, boxing, pickleball, and being out in the sun. I also previously worked in Labor & Delivery as an OB/Surgical Tech, where I assisted in deliveries and C-sections and gained strong exposure to newborn care and hospital safety. I’ve worked as a paraeducator supporting children with special needs and currently work as a substitute teacher (TK–12 + SPED), so I’m very comfortable with a wide range of ages and needs. My name is Sofia, and I’m a rising junior at UC Santa Barbara, home for the summer. I have been babysitting on and off since 7th grade. I’ve worked primarily for three families.
