I love kids and wish I had more time to spend with them. I have extensive babysitting experience which includes substituting at Head Start (pre-K), regularly watching older toddlers (4-5 yrs.), and most recently taking care of a one-year-old. When babysitting I like playtime and educational and fun activities. I often would bake and do arts and crafts with the older toddlers. I try to limit screen time as much as possible. With the one-year-old I would do activities to promote development and make the little guy laugh! I look forward to hearing from you.

Hello prospective families! My name is Chelsea. I pride myself on being dependable, responsible, and honest. I am looking for date night or occasional jobs that can fit into my schedule. I am a graduate of the University of Virginia (B.A. & M.P.P) and University of Michigan (MBA) and will start my full time job at the end of summer. For over four years I worked with children from newborn through four-year-olds in a children's ministry in addition to routinely babysitting for families including daycare pick-up/drop-off. I am CPR certified and completed a refresher course. As a preteen, I began watching children as a mother's morning helper and continued babysitting throughout graduate school. My background is in the arts, cheering, and dance. The summer before leaving for college I worked as a performing arts instructor teaching children between the ages of 4 to 14. I enjoy spending time with kids and finding creative activities to fill the time. If you are looking for an enthusiastic and responsible sitter, please reach out to me. *As I drive my car to jobs, please let me know what the available parking in your area is when you request a booking **Please note, I am unable to accept bookings if anyone in the household has been sick within the last 48 hours. For occasional babysitting jobs, I do charge for an in-person interview. Additionally, due to a peanut allergy, I am unable to prepare or feed children food with peanuts. I do charge a 50% fee for cancellations without a 24 hours notice. Thank you for your consideration.

I am currently pursuing a masters in occupational therapy at DePaul University and have a passion for helping children. Despite being in grad school, I’m a child at heart, enjoy watching kid movies/cartoons, playing outside, painting, and board games. I have experience with younger siblings, neurodivergent kids, and usually babysit ages 1-12, but am looking forward to gaining more experience across all ages!

First, I have an M.Ed. from the University of Virginia, with a focus on children with disabilities. References, police, and a clear CPS background report are available. I am a fun-loving, easy-going, and active caretaker specifically trained to work with special needs, including ASD, Tourette, ADHD, and similar disabilities. ABA trained, and the father of a child with comparable disabilities who is now a successful adult. Most kids love me and are willing to dive in and have fun. My daughter is a lawyer and teaches ethics, and I am especially adept at taking kids out to the mall, local airport, commuter train to the D.C. museums, or Richmond. I have a commercial CDL with a student endorsement, and we go anywhere we can practice calming and behavior, and have fun in various environments. Swimming pools and lakes are incredibly attractive to kids with ASD and extremely dangerous since most can't swim. I specialize in providing survival swimming at the local YMCA. ( I have a membership, and the crew at Massad Stafford YMCA knows me. I have been active as a Big Brother mentor for almost 14 years, giving back to my community. I love electronics, gadgets, elephants, the Mars Rover, the landscape of Venus, and everything about the James Webb Telescope. Many kids love this stuff, too. Some kids can make their bed with help, and afterward, we can grill a cheese sandwich, read a picture book, or watch a video... but not all day! I have cared for a 7-year-old with comorbidities for almost four years and helped potty-train him. BTW, I currently teach middle school reading, am rarely grouchy, and, as a Gemini, remain in touch with my inner child forever. I have extensive experience helping kids with autism and related needs; I might be able to give you a break from the routine without breaking your budget.
Hi! My name is Alex - I am 27 and work for Major League Baseball but looking to start babysitting on the side. I love working with kids and have babysat for multiple age groups/kids/etc since a young age. Excited to work with you and your family!
Hi!! I’m a 2nd-year UVA student who is patient and genuinely loves working with kids. I’ve been babysitting for years, and I’m CPR certified. I’m big on keeping kids entertained whether that’s games, crafts, or just being silly while still making sure they’re safe and taken care of! I can help with homework, cleaning, and meals, and I always keep parents updated so you feel comfortable. I’m super reliable and honestly just love creating a fun, positive environment for our kids!
Hi! My name is Ada and I'm a junior at the University of Virginia. I am offering childcare and household services. I have helped take care of my two younger brothers and four younger cousins since they were born. I love babysitting and I have been watching infants, toddlers, and kids (in addition to those I'm related to!) since I was about 13. I enjoy doing arts and crafts with children and playing games (both indoor and outdoor). I have had several jobs tutoring children in reading, writing, math, and French, through Philly Reading Coaches, Breakthrough of Greater Philadelphia, and Teach for America. I'm happy to do any tutoring or homework help. Additionally, in high school, I worked at a summer camp for numerous years and I have experience teaching kids theater, dance, and various sports. In terms of household services, I am incredibly organized and I would be happy to help with organization, cleaning, cooking simple meals, laundry, and any other general tidying up. Thanks so much!
