Hello! My name is Nyeka but I prefer to be called Nikki. I am a certified emergency medical technician with expertise in CPR, basic life support, and first aid. I have 15 paid years of experience working with children from the new born to preteen stages. I am a patient, protective, nurturing, responsible and caring child caregiver with a passion for childcare. I understand the importance of creating a safe and nurturing environment for children to thrive in. I don’t just see this as a gig! Every child who is under my supervision, is treated with respect… they are loved and cared for as though they are my own family. I do not do screen time (unless the parents instructed me to do so). My approach is both interactive and engaging, as I love organizing fun and educational activities for the kids I care for. Whether it’s reading books, arts and crafts, at home play, trips to parks, museums, libraries, playgrounds, language development/tummy time for infants, or helping with homework for school age children, I strive to make each moment enjoyable and enriching for the children. Additionally, I am happy to assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation centered around the children to support the smooth running of the household.
