Hello nice to meet You & Your Little Ones..or Big Ones (older children/special needs/adults)! I am a WEEKEND, DATE-NIGHT, OVERNIGHT, and HOTEL-CARE for Out-of-Towners SITTER!! I've been blessed to have had 36 repeat families since I started with Urbansitter, in September of 2017, and MORE THAN 90 BOOKINGS than what is stated here! I say that because I have had 10 LONG TERM BOOKINGS. I believe: Caring for children is the most fulfilling job next to caring for the elderly! Of which, I also have experience caring for the elderly, as a Certified Nurse Assistant for rehabilitation/psych facilities, Caregiver and Activity Director in Assisted Living. I apply the professional skills gained while having the privilege of working for the Early Childhood Program, at the Fontana Unified School District, in California. For 15 years, I was guided and trained by Behavior Specialist, School Psychologist, Counselors, and phenomenal experienced educators in the field of education and child development. For 10 years, I continued to develop my education in child development by continuing to be a student at Chaffey College. I'm providing this information to you, the loving parents, that when I am caring and working with your children I am using the knowledge I have been taught and trained while being an Assistant Teacher and continuing college student of such an awesome early childhood education program, as I was fortunate to be a part of, and in the study of Child Development. If there's certain practices as a teacher that we use that do not coincide or match your parenting skills please let me know so I may try to mirror your rearing preferences. But it is skills learned that are very effective in keeping children safe while in care in a school setting, that also transcends into home care while children are away from their parents. For example, if walking to the park the child stays walking side by side, or holding hands, not running far ahead in front of adult looking after the child as trying to arrive to the park, and rules are explained ahead of time. In our classroom we also had siblings to work with, which could be challenging, but at home it is different. I have had the privilege of caring for many siblings through Urbansitter! WORK EXPERIENCE: I have 25 years of working with children age 3 to Jr. High School, as a Bilingual Teacher Aide, and as a Special Ed. Early Childhood Teacher Aide- Preschool ages 3-5 years old. I also worked as a Respite Care Provider, for families with children who have special needs, caring for them in their homes. I worked in these two professions until February 2021. FYI - Long hours (8+ hours) are not a problem, as I am accustomed to working 12-hour days, as I was once a Certified Nurse Assistant(CNA). I do overnight care if needed, or 12+ hours, during the week as well. EDUCATION: In doing the LVN ladder program at my college, I earned a Medical-Surgical Nurse Assistant Vocational Certificate, from Chaffey College, in California, of which I am most proud of! Before earning that I became a Certified as a Nurse Assistant (CNA), allowing me to work in hospitals, psych facilities, and nursing registries. I am fully vaccinated, CPR & First Aid trained. As well as "LiveScanned"/fingerprinted, with the Dept. of Justice and the FBI, when I became a Respite Care Provider for Inland Respite Inc, in Riverside, CA. Also, I have earned an Associates of Arts degree, in Liberal Arts & Sciences, that allowed me to be employed for the school districts I had the pleasure of working with, for 25 years. I was working on finishing an Associates of Science Degree in Child Development, being just shy a few classes. COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERING: I have volunteered in a Cub Scout program in Fontana, CA. and in Ontario, California, as a Den Leader (even though my sons had moved onto Boy Scouts). I volunteer as a religious education Teacher for Elementary & High School age students. Currently I teach third grade students. I have volunteered for the Boy Scouts of America, as well as the Girls Scouts. I also served on the PTA board for several years. Currently, I am a Faith formation volunteer teacher at St Jude Catholic Church, in Mansfield, TX. NUTSHELL: As you can see, I do enjoy working with ALL children..at the end of the day it is a VERY REWARDING EXPERIENCE! Even though it could be a bit challenging for example: when caring for siblings who may not be accustomed to listening / following the direction of another adult, I am still up for the challenge:) But I would hope parents do speak to their children about respect for another adult coming into their home. PATIENCE, SAFETY & LOVE...my motto. PETS - I don't mind caring for your pets. I love them too. DRIVING - I don't mind providing transportation for your children, but please do consider compensating the service. INTERVIEWS - I will accept FaceTime interviews, only if necessary, but I am not tech savvy. Therefore, you're welcome to FaceTime me once we exchange numbers. Your patience is much appreciated with this task! FOR IN-PERSON interviews- I rarely experience requests for face to face interviews, but if one is needed - Compensation for time/gas/mileage may be required depending on your location. CANCELLATIONS- IF I AM IN ROUTE & YOU MUST CANCEL: PLEASE COMPENSATE MY TIME/GASOLINE, ONLY FAIR TO DO SO.

Hello, I am currently available for part-time or one time caregiving support. I am looking to supplement my retirement by continuing to do what I am most passionate about—working with children. I am CPR and First Aid certified and have 17 years of experience as a paraeducator in special education. In addition, I have 18 years of experience as a respite provider working with ambulatory clients on the autism spectrum. For the past 3.5 years, I have also served as co-owner and teacher at an infant daycare. The last two years I’ve helped with my daughter’s different foster babies (ages 3 days- 2 years) after work and on the weekends (Currently there are no fosters.) My experience is further informed by being a parent to a child on the autism spectrum, which has deepened my understanding, empathy, and commitment to quality care. I would welcome the opportunity to offer supportive, compassionate, and reliable care to your family. I have my immunizations up to date: Covid 12/25- Booster Flu 12/25 TDAP 5/22 MMR 6/22

I would love to discuss your care needs with you.. My name is Billie-Jean. I am a younger widow with an empty house. I am a mamma with my boys across the country, I’m a grandmother with lots of love and attention to give. I have excellent references and a current & clean background check. I have a very flexible and open schedule. Im happy to come early in the morning or stay late into the night. I happily come to your location. I am more of a personal assistant than just a babysitter. I try to help out wherever I can. I’ve been in hibernation since the pandemic began (for safety). I’m excited to meet a family that could use my help. While your child is spending time with me it would not be as if your child was spending time with a sitter it would be more like your child was hanging out with grandma. I am fully vaccinated. Pre-pandemic, I had helped a Chino Hills family for 9 years. Along with 30 years of experience helping various families at various times. This father was a solo parent, with an extremely high demanding job. I was somewhat more of a household manager. I just knew what needed to be done and took care of it His needs s changed, they relocated out of state. Please contact me if you would like to discuss your household needs further. Please keep safe and healthy.

Throughout my career, I have worked closely with families to establish healthy feeding, sleep, and developmental routines while creating safe, nurturing, and engaging environments. I currently work as a mentor for high school freshmen in math and science, where I support students academically and help build their confidence. I also volunteer regularly in my church’s children’s ministry, working with kids ages 2–6 in both classroom and nursery settings. In both experiences, I've been present for around 1.5-2 years. I am very patient with others, and I love creating fun and hands-on experiences for children, from simple crafts to fun, safe science activities. I am CPR and First Aid certified, and I’m comfortable assisting with light household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation. I’m also happy to help with transportation needs, whether that’s running errands or taking children to activities. Something about me you should know: I am slightly paranoid (but not in a bad way). I am always aware of my surroundings, even the smallest little details are important to me, especially when it comes to the safety of children and others. I genuinely enjoy spending time with children, and people in general, and I would love to be considered for any kind of opportunity that arises.

I’m CPR and First Aid certified through the Red Cross and also hold a babysitting certificate.
