I’m a dedicated first responder near Portland, Oregon. I have experience in being a certified Police Officer and a volunteer certified Firefighter while pursuing my bachelor’s degree at Chemeketa College. I’m certified in Adult/Child/Infant CPR, AED, EMR, and BLS and have a valid food handlers card. You will appreciate my calm, trustworthy, and caring nature, paired with an upbeat, outgoing personality that helps kids feel safe, engaged, and having fun! I have 6 years of experience caring for children from infancy through early adolescence, including ages 0–11 months, 1–3 years, 4–5 years, and 6–11 years. I’m comfortable supporting daily routines, preparing meals, helping with crafts, and assisting with travel or carpooling. I also offer swimming, walk and park supervision and enjoy creating a safe, fun, and structured environment for kids of all ages. In addition to my public safety background, I also provide household cleaning and organization services. Whether it’s maintaining a tidy home, assisting with laundry, disinfecting surfaces, or helping with daily household tasks, I take pride in creating a clean, comfortable environment for families. I do not smoke or use any substances. I’m reliable, punctual, and always arrive 5–10 minutes early to ensure clear communication, directions, and an easy transition for your family. All forms of payment accepted.

Hi families! My name is Solmaira, and I’ve always had a deep, innate sense of nurturance and protection when it comes to caring for children. Supporting their growth, joy, and safety feels like second nature to me. My caregiving experience spans across diverse roles—from being a trusted nanny for families of all backgrounds to working as a child advocate within wraparound mental health services. In both professional and personal settings, I’ve provided consistent, compassionate care to children of all ages, including those navigating emotional or behavioral challenges. My background in wraparound services has allowed me to support youth and their families through a trauma-informed lens, while building strong, trusting relationships. I believe every child deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported just as they are. Whether I’m helping with daily routines, creative play, meal times, or emotional regulation, I strive to be a calm, attentive presence who encourages independence and self-expression. I’m also mindful of each family’s unique values and routines, and I aim to integrate seamlessly into your household to provide dependable and loving support. I'm excited to connect with families who are looking for someone grounded, intuitive, and genuinely invested in the well-being of their children.
