I have over 10 years of professionally providing care to families. Most of my experience comes from being a mom to a 14 yr old! My personality is kind, warm, and fun. I like to bring along games, arts & crafts, trinkets, and/or books to my gigs! This helps me to engage children in age/development appropriate activities & strive to make my hours w/them as fun as possible!! By booking me, you are agreeing to the following. P’s = Parent(s) •Minimum booking: 4 hours. P’s pay for the hours booked and not hours worked, unless working hours exceed booking hours. I.e: P’s book for 7 hrs, come home within 5 hrs. Payment for 7hrs is still required. **Bookings on Holidays or beyond 8 hours are subjected to a time in a half rate. •Modifying booking: If you need to reduce your booking hours, do so 24 hours before booking. I can usually accommodate request to extend the booking before it begins. Please ask & do not assume this is fine. I often have bookings back to back. •Cancellations: If needed, please cancel 24 hours before your scheduled booking. However, cancellations within 24hrs will still require payment. Although not worked, these are hours booked which made me unavailable to other families & reduced my overall earning potential. Failure to compensate will seize our working relationship and any and all current bookings cancelled. •Last Minute Booking Request Bookings requested within 6 hours of a job will require a $40 booking fee. Fee is to compensate for rearranging schedule to accommodate yours. •Late Policy (STRICT): Please return to your family before your booking ends. Factor in possibilities, traffic, & recaps of our evening. 5 min grace period. After the 5th minute… ••P’s shall incur a $1 per minute late charge until their arrival/my departure. ••P’s that are consistently late, despite payment, will no longer be able to request bookings. •Parking: if free parking is unavailable, P’s are responsible to accommodate and/or reimburse for parking charges. **Sick children: I am unable to care for sick children. My name is Kayla. I’m a Chicago native with a background in hospitality. I began working as a CNA in high school at 16 and have been caring for people of different backgrounds since. I briefly studied children’s developmental sciences at NYU. I’ve worked with geriatric patients, patients with visual and physical impairments, developmental delays such as autism as well as some with memory loss disorders. I have 12 siblings and have cared for my nieces and nephews endlessly over the years. My most recent care has been with my nephew who is autistic, 5 now, who was fed via gtube for the first 2 years of his life. I love working with children and being hands on. I’m outgoing, personable and funny. I’m the life of the party when necessary but I handle my business with utmost care.

Hi! My name is Santana McClendon, and I’m a 20-year-old senior in college pursuing my degree in Early Childhood Education. I have extensive experience working with children of all ages. I began in my early teens working at a daycare every summer, where I cared for children ranging from 5 months to 12 years old. During my time there, I helped teach, engage, supervise, and create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for every child. After turning 18 and getting my first car, I worked for a transportation company, safely transporting children to and from school, summer camp, and home. This role strengthened my reliability, responsibility, and ability to build positive relationships with both children and families. This past school year, I worked as a Special Education Classroom Assistant (SECA) with Chicago Public Schools, where I supported preschool students ages 4–5 with diverse learning needs while collaborating closely with teachers to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. In addition to my work with CPS, I have consistently nannied for multiple families. One family had a 13-year-old son and a 7-year-old daughter, while another family has a 9-year-old son. These experiences have strengthened my ability to adapt to each family’s routines while providing dependable, engaging, and compassionate care. I am also CPR certified, giving families added peace of mind that I am prepared to respond in the event of an emergency. One thing I love most about nannying is being able to balance being a fun, energetic caregiver with supporting each child’s learning and development. Whether we’re spending the afternoon at the park, having a dance battle in the living room, doing arts and crafts, reading books, or working on age-appropriate learning activities, I strive to make every day both enjoyable and meaningful. My education in Early Childhood Education and my hands-on experience have given me the knowledge to support children’s social, emotional, academic, and developmental growth while making sure they have fun along the way. Working with children has always been my passion, and I truly enjoy helping them learn, grow, and feel supported. Families describe me as reliable, patient, caring, fun, flexible, and trustworthy. I prioritize creating a safe, engaging, and loving environment where children can thrive. As the new school year approaches, I’m looking for a full-time nannying position, though I am open for part-time! Please reach out!!
