Active, Patient, Warm, Caring, Safety minded... I recently moved here from Fairfax City Virginia here with the love of my life. I have extensive experience caring for children. I operated an in home child care in Virginia for children 5 weeks old to age 12 for 23 years. We were required to have 16 hours of training a year so I have taken extensive child care training classes over the years. I have passed background checks and have valid First Aid, CPR training currently and all for those years. I love caring for children and I am exceptional with infants, preschool aged children, as well as school aged. I have many excellent references from my families I have worked with over the years as well as neighbors who have known me that long as well. I also have a teaching degree in special education and worked in a day treatment facility for middle school aged children in a self contained classroom setting. I have experience tutoring and helping school aged children with their school work through the years. I have also raised my three sons who are now 26, 24, and 22 years old. I’ve worked with children since I was 15- first in a children’s nursery and then with several consecutive nannying positions. I’ve babysat for children primarily between 3 months - 6 years but I have ample experience with older kids and teenagers as well.
