Hi! I'm Nicole (: I love connecting with people of all ages and am offering childcare, pet care, senior care and household services. Background & Approach: I bring a calm, patient, but firm presence, leading with compassion, curiosity, and communicating clear expectations. A teacher at heart, I believe structure provides safety and I encourage collaborative problem-solving. Over the last decade, I taught middle school for 6 years and worked with young children. My experience with infants includes caring for both of my nieces. Also, I have worked as a Direct Service Professional for young children and adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, in their homes and group homes, respectively. I am comfortable with travel, from school to home or extracurriculars and social outings. I enjoy facilitating play and exploring others' interests with them, eager to help develop their strengths if I can. I highly value modeling and teaching consent from an early age. Certifications: - Adult First Aid/CPR - Youth Mental Health Aid - Completed an end-of-life training/planning program as a death doula (with Alua Arthur, she is amazing!) and embrace discussing the things that make life both hard & beautiful. Pets: I grew up with animals, a Pomeranian mix and later a Pitbull mix (sadly, he was not friendly), so I am comfortable with various sizes, temperaments, and needs and often pet sit for family. I love cats, too and am a quick learner. Household Services: basic cooking & cleaning, washing dishes, sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, organizing, and in-home laundry. Currently, I spend my time supporting my sister and brother-in-law with childcare for my 2-month-old and 7-year-old nieces, and I am obsessed with them. <3 I enjoy playing cozy video games, learning coding and data analysis/visualization, listening to audiobooks, and practicing Filipino martial arts.
Hi! I’m an experienced youth development professional who genuinely enjoys working with kids and creating a fun, safe, and positive environment for them to thrive. I’ve spent the past several years working with children and families through organizations including the Atlanta Hawks, New Orleans Pelicans, New Orleans Saints, Boston Celtics, and the Department of Human Services. Through my experience as a youth coach, recreation manager, and camp counselor, I’ve worked with children of all ages and have learned how to be patient, attentive, dependable, and engaging. I love planning fun activities, playing games, being active, helping with routines, and making sure kids feel comfortable, supported, and cared for. I’m also very comfortable communicating with parents and understand how important it is to have someone you can trust with your children. I have my own reliable car and am available to help with after-school pickups and drop-offs, as well as other activities or errands when needed. Whether you’re looking for occasional babysitting, date-night help, or a nanny for a more consistent schedule, I’d love the opportunity to support your family!
