Hi there! I'm Allie, and I'm a Boston-based college professor and professional actor. I’m currently on summer break and available for short-term childcare opportunities! A bit about me—I moved to Boston to pursue my MFA in Theatre Education at Emerson College, but before that I lived in New York City, where I worked as a full-time nanny (and professional actor!). I have over ten years of childcare and children's education experience, and I'd love to meet you and your family. As a babysitter, I understand that every child and family is unique. I specialize in working with school-age children, children with severe allergies, children of LGBTQ+ families, high net worth families, and children with extra support needs (Prader-Willi syndrome, autism, ADHD, dyslexia, anxiety disorder, mood regulation disorder). I work carefully with parents to create a customized care plan to help their children thrive socially, emotionally, and academically. And as a professional actor, I also love to have fun and encourage imaginative play! My full resume and references are available upon request. I look forward to connecting with you soon!

$27 per hour for 1 child

Hi, I’m originally from New York but I’ve lived in the Seattle area for over 24 years. I have a background in early childhood education and have worked previously as a preschool teacher with children ages 2.5-7 years old. I’m passionate about many different educational philosophies and taught primarily in a Montessori inspired classroom. I have a love of reading especially children’s literature and I have experience working in a library specifically in the children’s section. In addition to my teaching experiences I’ve also worked for many years at Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center in Duvall, WA as a volunteer in lessons with children. I recently spent a year in New York where I set up a classroom for my nieces (3,5,) and nephew (7) who were learning from home. I’m excited to work with children again. I think early childhood is a magical time where foundations can be built that last a lifetime. I’m available for date night care and I’m also open to other care opportunities. I look forward to meeting you. *I’m also an auntie to 15 nieces and nephews. ...Education: Emerson College Boston, MA BS Communications

Status: Currently accepting not jobs A few things to note: -I generally try not to book more than a month out at a time to avoid potential cancellations. Thank you for your understanding! -If you can -- booking via the site instead of text is easier for me to track. -I offer petsitting and housesitting and can pass along specific references for those services as well. Thank you! ———————————————— Now (a lot!) more about me -- Experience: I'm fully vaccinated (Covid + rest) with over 14 years of experience with ages ranging from 2 months - 13+ years. I am *currently* a part-time substitute teacher in the greater Portland area. I've fulfilled a number of roles over the years, including full-time nanny, part-time sitter, a date night sitter, and personal assistant to the family. I have experience with full-time infant-care (transitioning to solid foods, preparing formula, etc), as well as balancing the routines of multiple children at once. I have been the "first babysitter" for kids with a range of ages, including baby, toddler, and early elementary. Skills/schoolwork: In addition to teaching, I have a background in elementary (basic math, spelling) and high school-level tutoring (grammar and algebra), both through private employment & volunteer work. I'm also familiar with how to adapt lesson plans to suit different needs (specifically dyslexia and ADHD). Activities: I love non-media based activities such as board games, arts and crafts, drawing, reading, and sports, but I never shy away from a good movie night! I also enjoy anything outdoors or active (parks, hiking, biking, museums, libraries, etc.). Growing up I was a theater kid who played softball and lacrosse — probably another skill or two to mine in there somewhere :) Additional: In my spare time, I'm likely backpacking, traveling, or attempting to catch up on the never-ending list of books, movies, and shows that I'm behind on. I also volunteer with WaterDropLA (mutual aid on Skid Row) and WriteGirl (weekly mentoring, assisting seniors with post-grad guidance/college apps).

Caitlyn $20 per hour for 1 child

Hi! My name is Caitlyn , I am 22 years old, and I have recently moved to California from New York. My love for working with children started when I was around 8 years old when my mother opened her own preschool. Since she opened her school I spent as much time as I could there, helping every summer during summer camps, brainstorming new craft ideas, and helping her make sure each day was fun and exciting for the children. Through working with her for years I was able to get babysitting jobs for a variety of families. I used my knowledge of fun activities, crafts, and games from working at the preschool to make sure every time I was a sitter was a fun time for the kids. I have always loved the way children keep me on my toes and keep me curious about the world. I currently live in North Hollywood, I have a very flexible schedule, and have a car!

Rocio` $25 per hour for 1 child

Hi my name is Rocío and I am an educator offering childcare services. I’m a dedicated and compassionate teaching artist with 3+ years of experience supporting families. I hold a BFA in Theatre Education and have extensive experience teaching and working with children ages 4 to 18 in classroom and arts-based settings. I’m currently pursuing my master’s degree in Applied Theatre on a teaching license track deepening my skills in communication, child development, and inclusive learning with the goal of eventually becoming a Performing Arts Teacher. Dylan $20 per hour for 1 child

Hi caregivers! My name is Dylan, and I’m currently looking for one-time jobs since I’m currently in graduate school! I am currently pursuing my Masters in Speech Language Pathology at Emerson College. I previously attended the University of Connecticut where I studied Communication Sciences and American Sign Language. My experience working with children started in 2022. In the summer of 2022, my first job was at a summer camp for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children. It was an overnight camp where I also taught archery. Following that experience, I decided to pursue more experiences in childcare and was hired at an early care and education center that I worked at part time while at UConn. During winter and summer breaks I often babysat and dogsat for many families. I also have experience working at a children’s fitness club within the gym I used to go to in my hometown. My most recent experiences have been working with children 3-17 years old as a Teacher of the Deaf during the 2[removed] school year. So far, as a graduate student clinician I’ve worked with infants, toddlers and school-age children. I do not have much experience with seniors, however, my first job was working as a waiter at a retirement home!

Tess $15 per hour for 1 child

Hi I'm Tess! I am a 24-year-old writer and an artist looking for a part time or flexible job. I grew up in a huge family and have been babysitting and taking care of kids for most of my life. I love kids and have experience with all ages. During Covid when schools were closed, I looked after my 2-year-old nephew while my sister and brother-in-law worked remotely. I helped supplement his learning with crafts, cooking, baking, and outdoor activities. I also helped guide and oversee homeschooling and remote learning for several families I worked for. I love being creative with the kids I care for and having fun with them. I have my own car and am very comfortable cooking, cleaning, and running errands if you need. I am also very comfortable with pets. I grew up with dogs, cats, and horses. I currently have a blind rescue cat named Squid. My parents are both doctors and growing up my siblings and I had the best full-time nanny who became part of our family. My mom told her at the beginning, "Your job is to love my kids when I'm not here." I always thought this was a great way of looking at it. The way I view nannying/babysitting is very simple, I think. I want to help make your life easier. Your kids will be my priority and I will follow whatever rules or structure you want. I'm happy to chat more and answer any questions you may have. Thank you!
