I have a bachelor's degree in Child Development and Family Relations and have been employed as a caregiver for many families over many years. I have cared various ages ranging from newborn to teen and have experience working with developmentally disabled children with autism, down's syndrome and an infant who was born at 23 weeks with both hearing and vision loss. As a Doula I've provided services to several expectant mothers and their families offering prenatal, birth, and postpartum assistance. I believe children thrive in an environment where each unique family's priorities and wishes are paramount maintaining a sense of consistency, stability, and security. In addition to caring for your children's daily needs including cooking, laundry, and housekeeping, I enjoy interacting in guided play and age appropriate activities to support learning and development for all ages. Playing blocks to learn counting, colors and shapes with a toddler is just as fun as helping a teenager prepare for their first public speaking assignment for English class. I am recently retired from a lengthy career in advertising sales. I currently have two part-time jobs and am looking to pet sit on the side for extra cash. I am frienly and outgoing and most people and animals like me. Regarding pets they must be friendly with me and other pets. I will need to visit a few days prior to see if your pet responds to me. I had to turn down a petsitting job because the dog did not take a liking to me and nipped at my calf muscle twice. I do have references. I do need to schedule petsitting gigs around my part-time jobs and I am available for overnight stays depending on my schedule. I am mature and you do not have to worrry about me inviting guests into your home. That will never happen with me.
