For the past year I was a lead toddler teacher at a daycare center, regularly caring for 7 toddlers aged 1-3 alone, including meals, diapers, potty training, teaching curriculum, and everything in between. Before that I was a 6-12th grade science teacher for four years. I also have experience as a private tutor in all subjects. I am proficient in Spanish. I am looking to make some extra money to pay off some debts and build savings as I complete my master's program in pediatric speech therapy.

When babysitting I love taking the kids to explore outside, reading books, and making up any wacky games I can think of! I am a dog owner and feel comfortable caring for most dogs. Hello! My name is Leo (he/him) and I am a PsyD student in Berkeley. I used to work as a paraeducator for both OUSD and AUSD before I became a full time student! I am currently/consistently babysitting for a family with a 3 year old whose primary language is Japanese. Responsibilities also include driving their child (with family’s car) to gymnastics, bring him to the park, potty training, bathing, and putting him to bed/naptime. I’ve also worked with high schoolers for 3 years and have been working with elementary schoolers for a little over a year. All of my coworkers and students would probably describe me as patient, easy going, and someone who has a good sense of humor :) I have also previously been certified as an EMT and worked as a vet tech for many years so I’ve definitely got the range of skills!

Hi! I'm a current Macalester College Spanish and Sociology major who is passionate about working with kids. I have 4 years of experience as a summer camp counselor and one year of experience in after-school programming. My background has given me extensive practice coming up with engaging, creative, and educational activities for kids of all ages. I have received extensive safety and childcare training, including CPR and First Aid. I love cooking and baking and know how to teach age-appropriate food-safety skills to cook with kids. I grew up with food allergies, so I know how to take the best precautions to help kids with dietary restrictions. Another passion of mine is helping kids explore the world outside-- this fall, I'm taking a course specifically on Outdoor Environmental Education, so I have lots of new activities to try out!

Hi! My name is Kingsley and I'm a current senior at Macalester College. I have extensive experience working with school-aged children from a wide variety of backgrounds, having been a sailing instructor working individually with special needs children for four years. Drawing on this experience, I tend towards keeping kids active and engaged with outdoor play, but I also love staying indoors with a board game--my most recent obsession is chess!
