Hello! I’m Ayanna, a compassionate and experienced nanny with over seven years of experience. I’m passionate about working with infants and toddlers, finding great joy in their development. My experience includes caring for children from newborns to toddlers, understanding their unique needs. I’m skilled in all aspects of infant and toddler care, including: - Infant care: Feeding, diapering, soothing techniques, and maintaining a consistent sleep schedule. I’m comfortable with sleep training and patient during challenging times. - Toddler development: Creating age-appropriate, screen-free activities that foster curiosity and learning. This includes sensory play, arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, and early language and motor skill development. I follow a child’s lead while providing a structured routine. - Safety & communication: Safety is my top priority. I’m CPR and First Aid certified and vigilant about creating a secure environment. I communicate openly and consistently with parents, providing updates on their child’s day and supporting their family’s values and goals. I’m reliable, trustworthy, and organized. I have my own reliable transportation and am available for date nights, full-time, and part-time. I look forward to connecting with you!

$20 per hour for 1 child

*****Please note: I am immunocompromised and have an autoimmune disease so I cannot watch sick children and must limit time outside in extremely hot weather. Hi! I'm Ali. I’m originally from Seattle and moved to New York in 2015 to study acting. I joined UrbanSitter during college and have been using it as my day job ever since. I have 18 years of childcare experience, ranging from date nights and private nannying to daycare and summer camps. Over the last four years I have began working in arts education as a teaching artist and youth theater director. I’m the 2nd oldest of 10 so I’ve been around young kids my entire life and am used to watching multiple kids at once. Due to being CPR and First Aid certified since I was 12, I’ve gained years of experience watching kids with varying disabilities and medical conditions, and am very familiar with working with children who are autistic, have epilepsy, or have life threatening food allergies. My go to activities are coloring, board games, going to the park, reading, movies, and arts and crafts. Outside of childcare, I am an actor, writer, and run an indie theater/production company. I’ve spent the pandemic studying trauma informed, consent based rehearsal spaces and mental health first aid. Both of these skills have been easily transferable to my childcare work. I have experience teaching at after school programs using the Montessori Method and have been working more as a teaching artist lately, doing theater and improv with kids. Cancellation policy: cancellation less than 24 hours my policy is full payment. If it’s within 72 hours, it’s half the agreed payment, and more than 72 there isn’t a fee. If you come home more than 15 minutes late with no communication I reserve the right to charge a late fee on top of that extra time. If you come home early I still charge for the full time booked since I had to block that time out in my calendar, unless we’ve agreed on it beforehand.
