Peace to you! My name is Abba. I grew up in Port Orchard, and have spent most of my adult life in Seattle. I enjoy being active and exploring my environment, which is what has always drawn me to child care! I most recently nannied a sweet and energetic 2 year old and had been working with the same family since October 2022. I’ve worked at kids camps, baby sat for years, and have 12 nieces and nephews whom I have often taken care of and helped raise. My favorite part about childcare is the excitement children often bring to any kind of activity, there is so much learning, exploring, and growing happening in our early years . As an adult its nice to be reminded of the everyday 'awes' of being a human! Not to mention, a privilege to take part in so many of someone’s “firsts”. I truly feel fulfilled in spending time and caring for children, and value mutual respect between kids and care-givers. I am an artist, which translates into fun crafts and sensory exploration activities for kids! I love the outdoors rain or shine and don’t mind facilitating activities that may be deemed “messy”. Additionally, I have a deep love of gardening and growing food, as well as participating in various forms of community. I value respect and care between myself and parents, as we are a team!
