$30 per hour for 1 child

**fully vaccinated, immune as of March 20** Hey, everyone, Andrew here. As we enter the new normal, I'd love to discuss your specific childcare needs. In addition to my usual balance of comedy and care, I'm invested in the crucially important health of your family. An actor by trade, I'm also looking at a summer and fall without work or auditions, so I have more availability than usual. Don't hesitate to reach out. I have 6 years of NYC babysitting experience, and I live off the ABCD at 145th. Express trains for the win! I am background-checked and trained in CPR and First Aid, and you can get a great sense of my work from the reviews here on my profile. I'm an actor by trade and lover of yoga, animals, plants, and I'll always pay extra for guac. My goal is to have a positive impact on a family's day--and maybe a child's outlook--and I love to encourage creativity and cooperation in kids of all ages. I'm sensitive to sibling dynamics thanks to my two siblings (also searchable on here--Laura and Tommy), and I'm engaging, patient, and eager to get out to a playground, park, or library. Please note that I also request 36 hours' notice of a cancellation or shortening of a booking. After the 36 hours, I request payment in full for--at minimum--the hours originally booked. Thanks very much for your understanding! For bookings ending 10pm or later, I request a car home or money to book a car myself--since the trains get so strange late at night. Thanks immensely for considering me--I look forward to hearing from you!

$22 per hour for 1 child

Hello! My name is Rebecca. I have been working in NYC as a nanny/sitter since 2016. I've been a primary nanny and a regular pickup nanny as well as a date night sitter. I am currently working 32 hours a week with a six year old deaf autistic boy who lives on Wall Street, and he is about to head back to school. Once he's back he sadly won't need me, so I am looking for a new position. His parents asked that I note "we will absolutely recommend you as the best nanny to absolutely anyone." Ideally I’d like a part time role, though I’m also open to date night sitting. I'm currently living in Inwood. I regularly do one-time jobs for a wide variety of families, and have experience in newborns to teenagers. I've also worked with babies/children/teenagers with physical disabilities, severe food allergies, ADHD, Aspergers, autism, and those with lots of feelings. The parents I've worked for have had styles ranging from attachment parenting ("sprint to the baby the second she cries") to the REI method ("give the baby some time to self-settle before you go to her") to everything in between ("do whatever you want but for the love of god give her the blue bottle at lunchtime or she ll pitch a fit"). Before moving to New York five years ago, I was a nanny in Boston for a family who ran a daycare. My style is energetic, engaged, and optimistic - I genuinely love kids, and this is my preferred line of work for income. I find it fulfilling and a good personal fit. I'm active as a person and this carries over completely to my nanny work. My kids and I are always out at parks, museums, playgrounds, and making up imaginative games. One of my favorite compliments I've received is "oh thank god, Rebecca's here. I know she'll tire out the kids." Thanks much! Please don't hesitate to ask any questions. If I'm not the right fit for your family, I wish you the best of luck in your search.

$20 per hour for 1 child

Hi! I’m Dana — a NYC-based babysitter who’s new to UrbanSitter, but with over a year of part-time childcare experience for a family here in the city. I currently still work with this family on a salaried basis and am looking to pick up occasional babysitting and part-time work. The family I work with has three children, currently ages 7–12, and I’m comfortable caring for children ages 3 and up. My background also includes teaching summer camp, leading a children’s choir at church, and handling after-school pick-ups and daily routines. I’ve lived in New York City for 8 years and know the city very well. I’m extremely comfortable navigating neighborhoods, transportation, school schedules, and the general pace of city life, which helps me stay calm, organized, and reliable. In addition to childcare, I bring a wide range of professional experience, including working as a MainStage performer for Disney Tokyo and at Trader Joe’s. These roles strengthened my communication skills, dependability, and ability to stay positive, focused, and adaptable in fast-paced environments. I’m upbeat, punctual, and very engaged, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with kids — whether that’s doing creative activities, supporting routines, or being a steady, caring presence. I’m comfortable caring for multiple children and pride myself on clear, thoughtful communication with parents. I’d love to connect! If you’d like a reference from the family I currently work for, feel free to reach out — I’m happy to share. Please message me with any questions or to set up an interview. I look forward to meeting you and your kids!
